June 2025 – By the Numbers: Connecting Clients to Critical Support
The world is changing—it's in the wind. Funding models shift, and services can be difficult to locate. At LINC/211, we work diligently to track down and verify what resources are available. Our team stays committed through emails, phone calls, meet-and-greets, and the occasional door knock to ensure we have accurate, up-to-date information ready for you. We don't just collect information—we verify it, because reliable details are what help us truly serve our community.
In the most recent period, LINC/211 served 3,470 unique clients through 3,598 total interactions. Of those, 2,461 were through 2-1-1 calls and 650 via the general library number. Social Advocates assisted 15 clients with a total of 18 interactions, including 9 repeat or follow-up contacts. Social Workers supported 43 clients with 43 repeat or follow-up service interactions
Outreach Teams Are Still Outreaching: Keeping Up as the World Changes
We seek out customers and agencies where they are—whether in libraries, neighborhoods, or community events. This month, Valencia (pictured above) represented LINC/211 at the New Direction Christian Church outreach event, connecting directly with individuals and sharing valuable resources. If you’re hosting an event and want 211 there to support your community, just dial 211 and let us know!
Are you seeing events or agencies in your community that may be offering vital services? Have them call or email our customer coordinator, Jerry Bobbitt, at jerry.bobbitt@memphistn.gov or 901-415-2783 to verify their services and get added to the database today. It’s not just a flyer—it’s an opportunity. Our outreach team and ready and listening.

Insider Tip: Every referral that the call center provides can be sent as a text message to the customer. This is especially helpful for customers who are on the move or need time to decide. Just say, “Can you text me that on your next 211 call?” — and we’ll make sure they get the information right on their phone.
