This week, we celebrated our country’s independence at our annual Liberty For All Festival! At the festival, we asked some of you to tell us what you love best about Memphis and your responses did not disappoint.
Those answers inspired us to ask a few more of our friends to weigh in on what they loved about our great city. We heard a little bit of everything - but the diversity, culture, music, food, Grizzlies, Tigers, nature, and our people were common themes. And I couldn’t agree more with all of them!
I am honored to be the Mayor of Memphis every day. I’ve said it before, but I believe that we are on the cusp of becoming the next great southern city. I think our diversity is our superpower, and our that our culture and collective innovative spirit make Memphis extraordinarily special. I love my city and I love hearing all of you share what you love about Memphis.
I hope this video inspires all of you to spend a little more time speaking life into our community. Memphis is special because of you.

In our compilation video, MLGW’s Doug McGowen gave our water a big shout-out; and here is little extra cheerleading for our city’s water from our friends in the Chairman's Circle of the Greater Memphis Chamber:
We love our water! See more about why it is special here.
