Here's the latest update about the COVID-19 Virus from the Shelby County Health Department.

Shelby County Health Department COVID-19 Daily Update: February 18, 2021

All Shelby County Health Department facilities are closed today, Thursday, February 18, 2021, and the following COVID-19 vaccination sites will remain closed through Saturday, February 20, 2021, due to inclement weather and the threat of hazardous driving conditions.

All appointments scheduled for Tuesday, February 16 through Saturday, February 20 will be automatically rescheduled to next week on the same day, time and location. There is no need to make a new appointment.

 

Currently the Health Department is vaccinating first responders and health care workers listed in Phases 1a1 & 1a2, funeral/mortuary workers and all persons age 70+. Future new appointment availability and updated information regarding closures will be posted at https://shelby.community/

 

Other Vaccination Providers Other providers are also vaccinating persons in the priority groups, including:

  • Veteran’s Administration – Now vaccinating all veterans age 65 and older at the VA Medical Center at 1030 Jefferson Avenue. Veterans must be enrolled with the VA at www.va.gov to receive vaccination.
  • Walmart – Now vaccinating those in group 1a1, 1a2, 70+. To schedule an appointment, go to https://www.walmart.com/cp/1228302

 

 

VaxQueue is Now Available

Mayor Lee Harris and the Shelby County Health Department now offers "VaxQueue", a standby list for those who want to be notified when they may be able to access the COVID-19 vaccine. To be added, visit https://shelby.community/covid-19-vaccine/
