Mayor Jim Strickland, The Healing Center Full Baptist Church, House Representative Karen Camper, Edward L. Stanton, Ben F. Jones Chapter of the National Bar Association, Memphis Bar Association, NAACP, Tennessee Faith and Justice Alliance, and the TBA-Young Lawyer's Division are hosting a Non-Conviction Expungement Clinic on Saturday, June 2nd from 9am-2pm at The Healing Center, 3885 Tchulahoma Road.
Interested persons MUST COMPLETE AND RETURN a pre-registration form by May 29, 2018 to the Healing Center or email it to memexpunge@gmail.com. The form may also be completed online here.
The non-conviction expungement clinic is for those cases handled in Shelby County only. The expungements apply only to eligible cases resulting in dismissed charges, nolle prosequi, no true bill, and not guilty verdicts that still show up on your criminal record.
However, individuals will be screened for eligibility for the Better Memphis Fund, a program that assists eligible persons with payment of expungement petition fees.
