Wiggle Your Way to Bark and Rec Day
Festival and 5k to benefit animals in need
Saint Paul Parks and Recreation is proud to partner with Midwest Animal Rescue and Services (MARS) to present ‘Bark and Rec Day featuring Wiggle Butt 5k’ at Harriet Island on September 21 from 10:00am to 2:00pm.
The Wiggle Butt 5k is a walk for people and their pooches to help raise funds for MARS, which rescues, rehabilitates, and finds homes for animals in need.
Festival attendees and their four legged friends will also have the chance to participate in fun, dog-centric events like paw stamping, a dog lookalike contest, demonstrations from the Saint Paul Police K-9 Unit and Disc Dogs of Minnesota, reading to dogs and a doggy fashion show. This furry and fun, family friendly event also features children’s activities such as a bouncy house, climbing wall and coloring station.
If you would like to participate in the Wiggle Butt 5k, you can sign up online at mars.dojiggy.com. Prizes will be awarded for different levels of fundraising achievement.
