Citywide Cleanup volunteer events ongoing
Earth Day may have passed... but there are still ways to get involved and make an impact!
To create more flexibility for residents and community groups, the City of Saint Paul moved away from the traditional one-day event model. Instead, we are focusing our resources on providing supplies and guidance to residents and community group cleanups throughout the year, when it works best for them.
There are still many ways to get involved and celebrate the 55th Anniversary of Earth Day by participating in a Citywide Cleanup outing. Visit the webpage to learn about upcoming clean-up events to join. (There are many happening in the coming weeks!)
Follow these easy steps:
- Pick your own date, time and location (park, sidewalk or trail).
- Fill out our request form- https://bit.ly/saintpaultrashcleanup
- Receive supplies from Parks and Recreation or bring your own trash bags and gloves from home.
- Pick up trash while maintaining a safe distance from any road.
- Dispose of the bags in your own trash bin at home or place next to a trash bin in any city park.

Nominate an outstanding park volunteer by May 1
Does your local park or neighborhood group have an outstanding volunteer supporting a park or recreation center program? Nominate them as your volunteer of the year to be recognized at Party for the Parks on June 25 at Como Park!
Your volunteer of the year will receive Mayoral and official press recognition!
Online registration to attend this City-wide park celebration will be open soon. We know your volunteers give their time and energy for the community’s benefit and not for recognition. All the same, our elected officials and Parks and Rec leadership would love to have them with us when we all honor outstanding parks and rec volunteers.
Add the park or community center the volunteer works at and send your Volunteer of the Year Selection to us by May 1.
