Reminders and Updates
-
Pedro Park Construction Updates: The demolition of the City-owned Public Safety Annex building (100 10th Street South) has begun. This step is part of the Pedro Park project updates. Please review the Frequently Asked Questions webpage to learn more about the building demolition and temporary impacts to the neighborhood. Questions on the demolition can be directed to the Department of Planning and Economic Development at ped-pio@stpaul.gov.
-
Spring Updates: Check out the updates on the closing and opening of seasonal amenities and some springtime reminders.
- Ice rinks are closed for the season. We know it's tempting, but we ask that people and pets stay out of the rink areas until the ground has thawed and hockey boards have been removed. Please visit one of our seven dog parks for off-leash fun.
- Our crews are working hard to begin opening seasonal amenities as soon as possible. Many basketball courts, skate parks, and tennis/pickleball courts will need more time for the snow to melt and clean-ups to take place. We thank your for your patience.
- As the ground begins to thaw, please be mindful to stay on sidewalks and bike paths as much as possible so plants can emerge and our turf has a chance to recover from winter.
- It's spring in Minnesota which means that the cold isn't gone forever. These indoor activities are available to keep you healthy and engaged until we reach full-bloom weather:
For more activity options and ideas, such as Virtual Gardening Classes or Open Gym, Tot Time, and Pickleball schedules, visit our Rec Reimagined webpage.
-
Fitness Center Memberships: Looking for an affordable way to meet your 2023 fitness goals? Memberships to our fitness centers cost just $30 for the entire year if you live or work in Saint Paul. ($60 per year for non-residents/workers, which is still a good deal!) Memberships can be purchased in person at any of the eleven fitness center locations.
-
2022-2023 Out-of-school time programs: Registration is open for afterschool and no-school day youth programs.
-
Masks welcome, but not required: Saint Paul Mayor Melvin Carter has lifted the masking requirement for staff and visitors in City-controlled facilities. Face masks are welcome and will be available for anyone wishing to wear one. Visitors are still encouraged to maintain distance from others when possible, to wash hands frequently, and to stay home if feeling sick. Visit our COVID-19 Updates webpage for the latest information.
