Saint Paul Parks and Recreation will be offering S'more Fun, Recreation for Preschoolers, and Rec Check youth programs this fall, with CDC and MN Department of Health guidelines in place. See below for an overview and visit each program's webpage for details and registration information.
- All childcare programs will be held in small groups. Staff to participant ratio will be no more than 1:14 for S'more Fun and Rec Check and no more than 1:10 for Recreation for Preschoolers. Participants will be expected to stay with their assigned group and mixing with other groups will be restricted. Large group gatherings will be avoided.
- Activities with limited or no physical contact will be emphasized.
- Equipment and touch points will be wiped down on a routine basis throughout the day.
- Participants will be expected to follow all health guidelines, including staying with their assigned group, maintain 6ft physical distancing whenever possible, and wearing a cloth mask when social distancing is not possible.
- Weather permitting, all check in/out procedures will be done outside. Only participants and staff will be allowed inside the programming space.

- Mon-Fri, 7am-6pm
- Cost: $40/day, plus $35/family per year registration fee

Recreation for Preschoolers

Rec Check
- Mon-Fri, 2pm-6pm; Start date is September 14
- Cost: Free
- Grades: K-5
- Starting this fall, Rec Check will now be session based, meaning participants can only register one month at a time. Participants will also be required to register for the specific days that they wish to attend. Registration opens Monday, August 24.

Adaptive Recreation
Since 1976, our Adaptive Recreation team has been making adaptations to ensure recreation programs are inclusive and accessible for people with disabilities. We recently added new adaptations for the safety of our staff and participants, such as face coverings and social distancing, but that hasn't stopped the fun! Splash Pads and Phalen Beach
Phalen Beach will be open from 12pm - 8pm through Labor Day, with lifeguards on duty. If weather and health guidelines allow, the beach and splash pad will also be open on the weekends of September 12-13 and 19-20.
Splash pads are open from 10am - 8pm. The last day of operation for the Lewis Park, Conway Park, and Parque Castillo splash pads will be Tuesday, September 8.

Story Stroll at Langford Park Recreation Center
Stop by Langford Park Rec Center (30 Langford Park) to check out our newest Story Stroll, “The Thing About Bees: A Love Letter” by Shabazz Larkin. Please enjoy the story with your eyes only, and remain socially distant from other groups as you stroll. The story will be up Monday-Thursday for the next few weeks.
Story Stroll is provided in partnership with Saint Paul Public Library and Saint Paul Public Schools.

Fitness in the Parks
Join us for a free workout outdoors! No pre-registration necessary. Physical distancing is required and all classes follow current health and safety guidelines. Fitness in the Parks is free and open to all, but please stay home if you are sick or at a higher risk of illness. Classes run through August 31.
