Curfew May 29

Mayor Carter has issued Executive Order 2020-11 establishing a night-time curfew effective at 8 p.m. tonight, Friday, May 29.

The curfew is imposed in all Saint Paul public places from 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. from May 29-31. 

During curfew, no travel is allowed in any public street or place.

Exemptions include all law enforcement, fire and medical personnel, and members of the news media, as well as other personnel authorized by the City of Saint Paul, Minnesota Department of Public Safety, Minnesota State Patrol, or Minnesota National Guard. Other exemptions include individuals traveling directly to and from work, seeking emergency care, fleeing danger, or experiencing homelessness.

Violators of this Executive Order will be charged with a misdemeanor, punishable by a fine not to exceed $1,000 or imprisonment for not more than 90 days.
