Saint Paul Public Library Offers Free Tax Preparation Assistance at Five Locations Starting in February
Tax forms also available at many libraries or online
Saint Paul, Minn — Saint Paul Public Library in collaboration with AARP volunteers will offer free tax preparation assistance at five libraries beginning in February. In 2011, AARP volunteers worked 3,892 hours helping library customers with their taxes.
“We’re pleased to partner with the AARP volunteers to offer tax help at Saint Paul libraries again this year,” said Kit Hadley, Library Director. “Many of our customers tell us they rely on this valuable service to help them with their taxes.
AARP volunteers will offer assistance with filling out electronic tax forms at Central, Hayden Heights, Sun Ray, Rondo and West Seventh libraries. Participants should bring all relevant information (All W-2 slips, Social Security card, valid current photo I.D., last year’s tax return, etc.).
Tax help service is offered on a first-come, first-served basis. A limited number of people may be served at each location each day.
