Highwood Hills Recreation Center Reopens

Highwood Hills Recreation Center reopened  on the city's East Side on Monday with a ribbon cutting ceremony. The recreation center is located within Highwood Hills Elementary School and has been closed since 2008. The building will be open Monday through Thursday, 3-9pm and Friday 3-6pm. Como's Conservation Champions

The public is invited to a new program called Como: Making A Global Impact. This free lecture series will take place Sundays in April and May at 10:30am (excluding April 21) in Como Park Zoo & Conservatory’s Visitor Center Exhibit Gallery. From preserving the genetic health of endangered orangutans in southeast Asia, to tracking footprints of snow leopards in Kyrgyzstan, Como’s talented team of globetrotting zookeepers and horticulturists are eager to share their recent conservation experiences with you.
