Dogs on leash

Spring Reminders

Warmer weather means more people are getting outside and enjoying our parks. Here are a few friendly reminders for your next park visit:

Dog Leash Ordinance: We encourage you to take your dog for a stroll in our parks, but please remember that all dogs must be restrained on a leash no longer than six feet at all times unless you are visiting one of our four off-leash dog parks.

Stick to sidewalks & walking paths: Springtime can quickly turn our lawns into a muddy mess. As the snow is melting, please help keep our parks green and beautiful by sticking to walking paths and sidewalks while our turf repairs itself from winter weather conditions. The grass - and your shoes - will thank you for it!

Citywide Spring Cleanup: Melting snow helps rejuvenate our plants and trees after a long winter, but it also reveals a season's worth of litter in our parks and neighborhoods. Help us beautify our city at the annual Citywide Spring Cleanup on Saturday, April 21 from 9am-11:30am.
