Description of Variance
Location: Dark Horse Bar and Eatery Patio, 250 7th Street East
Noise Source: Dark Horse Bar and Eatery has applied for a sound level variance, at no specified sound level limit or distance from any sound source, in order to present amplified music during the A Night in Havana, a Private Gillette Children’s Hospital Donor Event. The requested Event is to be located at the Dark Horse Bar and Eatery Patio, 250 7th Street East, on Tuesday, August 22, 2017, 4:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. The Department of Safety and Inspections recommends the following conditions: 1) The variance will be for the A Night in Havana Private Event on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. 2) All electronically powered equipment, PA systems, loudspeakers or similar devices used in conjunction with the event must not exceed 85 dBA as measured 50 feet from any stage or sound source. 3) The applicant will provide personnel and equipment to ensure compliance with the sound level variance conditions. 4) All electronically powered equipment, PA systems, loudspeakers or similar devices must be turned off no later than 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 22, 2017.
A public hearing before the City Council on this variance request will be held on:

If you attend the public hearing, you will be given the opportunity to present verbal comments or objections before the City Council.
