Saint Paul Public Library to offer music, dance, and martial arts programs over MEA break for kids

Stay. Play. MEA series (Oct. 20-22) includes a free Intro to Capoeira class, a Brazilian form of self-defense

SAINT PAUL—The Saint Paul Public Library presents Stay. Play. MEA next month, a series of music, dance, and fitness programs over MEA break for kids. Students can learn how to play the harmonica while exploring the rich history of Blues music; master the art of self-defense, Brazilian style; or get their hearts pumping with Drumbeats, a percussive form of exercise using weighted drumsticks. All events are free and are geared toward grade school students, ages 8 and up.

“We are pleased to offer a diverse array of programs over MEA break this year,” said Karen Kolb Peterson, library Youth and Public Services Director. “This year, our focus is on keeping our kids’ minds and bodies engaged, with dance, music, and exercise programs. For parents, the library is here to support you with fun, engaging programs for your kids.”
