Highland Driving Range Opens March 5

The Highland Driving Range at Highland National Golf Course will open on Saturday, March 5 at noon. After March 5, hours will be 10am-5pm and weather dependant. Tokens for golf balls can be purchased at the Highland Golf Clubhouse.  For more information, call the Highland Golf Clubhouse at 651-695-3719.

Snowsports Fundraiser

Como Park Snowsports Booster Club Fundraising Dinner

Help the Como Park Snowsports Booster Club raise funds to support the Como Park Ski Center at their Après-ski Dinner. In addition to dinner, there will be live music, a cash bar, silent auction, a keynote speaker and presentations about Alpine and cross-country skiing and snowboarding.

Beasts of the Southern Wild

Movie: Beasts of the Southern Wild

Featuring Quvenzhané Wallis, the youngest actress (age 9) ever nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award, this film uses magical realism to explore the ability of African Americans to exercise agency in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina in southern Louisiana. Suitable for all ages. Following the film, a discussion will be led by Kaalid Omar of the East Side Freedom Library.

Adult Summer Softball

Adult summer softball registration is going on now. A variety of different divisions are offered, including Men's, Women's, Co-Rec, Fast Pitch and Slow Pitch. League games take place on weekday evenings. Gather your team and get ready to have some fun this summer! Visit the Municipal Softball website for more details.

When: Twelve-week seasons begin in April, while six week seasons begin being in June.

Cost: $238/team - $800/team, depending on the league. Non-resident teams pay an additional $50.
