 Phalen Freeze Fest
Join us outside around the fire to hear the Ojibwe legend of Shingebiss, dramatized by giant puppets. This is the story of the determined duck who refused to be defeated by the Winter Maker. Participate in fun winter activities such as geocaching, boot hockey, ice fishing, and more! Warm up by the fire as you sip hot chocolate and roast marshmallows. No registration necessary.  Job Fair
In addition to meeting with potential employers at this Job Fair, attendees can also participate in mock interviews, resume building, and have their photo taken by a professional photographer for use on social media sites like Facebook and LinkedIn. Among employers offering positions at the job fair are Saint Paul Parks and Recreation, the YMCA, the Science Museum of Minnesota, and the Minnesota Children’s Museum. Attendees are encouraged to dress professionally and those who already have resumes should bring several copies to share with employers.  Friends of the Parks and Trails Tree Sale
Friends of the Parks and Trails of St. Paul and Ramsey County’s annual tree sale fundraiser is now underway. Purchase a tree or shrub for your own yard or give one to a local park. Orders must be received by April 22 and picked up on May 7 between 9am and 1pm All donations are fully tax-deductible.  Red Bull Crashed Ice
The City of Saint Paul is proud to host the Red Bull Crashed Ice Season Finale this year. This is Saint Paul's fifth year hosting the ice cross downhill competition, which is expected to draw more than 100,000 people to downtown. For more information, go to Visit Saint Paul's Crashed Ice page.

Warm Weather Closures/Cancellations/Changes
- Due to warm weather melting the snow and ice rinks, Langford Recreation Center's Winter Adventures event scheduled for February 20 will be cancelled.
- Phalen Recreation Center's Family Skating Party this evening (Friday, Feb. 19 from 6pm-7:30pm) will happen as scheduled, however skating will be dependent on rink conditions. Other activities will go on as planned.
- All non-refrigerated ice rinks are closed for the season.
- Refrigerated rinks are subject to close if ice becomes soft or meltwater persists on surface.
- Como Park Ski Center is closed for the season.
