St. Paul, MN – September 9, 2015 – St. Paul Fire Foundation is hosting Run or
Walk to Remember around Lake Como, starting at 6pm on the west side of Lake
Como.
 This
Friday’s Saint Paul Fire Foundation 9/11 - Run or Walk to Remember is
a fundraiser to remember the 343 FDNY Firefighters who lost their lives in the
line of duty, due to 9/11. 343 American Flags will be placed around Lake Como,
each bearing the name of one of those FDNY Firefighters. We will also remember
the 63 SPFD Firefighters who lost their lives since inception. There will be 63
placards with their name, company and date of line of duty death, so noted. 61
of these placards will be placed around Lake Como. The 2 most recent Ray Hain,
Firefighter, Engine 24 (11-14-2009) and Shane Clifton, Firefighter/Paramedic,
Engine/Medic 14 (8-31-2015) will be displayed at the START.
