Summit Monument Park

StoryWalk

Walk, read, learn, have fun! Pages from the picture book Minnesota's Hidden Alphabet by David LaRochelle will be posted along park paths so you can read as you walk. Join us for hands-on nature activities that complement the book themes. Visit www.sppl.org/grade-school/storywalk for updates on book titles and activities. No pre-registration is required. National Public Lands Day

National Public Lands Day

Celebrate our parks on National Public Lands Day by finding new ways to enjoy them. Cook food over a fire, go fishing in the Mississippi River, try geocaching, scale the climbing wall, and more! Enter Hidden Falls Regional Park through the north gate at Magoffin Ave. This event is part of Explore Outdoors Saint Paul, a passport program encouraging outdoor activities and offering chances to win prizes. Racquetball/Fitness Center Memberships

Edgcumbe Recreation Center is now offering unlimited racquetball memberships for $15/month. Membership also includes access to all recreation center fitness rooms. Members can reserve courts online for up to two hours daily during regular recreation center hours. Edgcumbe will be holding two free open houses for anyone interested in trying out racquetball on Wednesday, Sept. 9 from 5pm-8pm and Saturday, Sept. 12 from 9am-11am. There will be equipment on hand and an instructor to help beginners. For more information, call Edgcumbe Recreation Center at 651-695-3711.

Registration for Wednesday night adult Racquetball League is also going on now.
