Cold Spring / Richmond Police Department News Release

On Friday, June 6 at 8:15 a.m. the Cold Spring/Richmond Police Department responded along with Cold Spring Fire and Rescue to a chemical spill at Pilgrims Chicken, located in the 800 block of Sauk River Road, in Cold Spring, Minnesota.  A container of peracetic acid was spilled, the spill was contained inside the facility and the State Duty Officer was notified.

When officers arrived on scene the buildings had already been evacuated.  Numerous employees were assessed at the scene and 26 people were transported by Mayo Clinic and Centracare Ambulance to the St. Cloud Hospital to be evaluated for further treatment.
