Building Fire

CORRECTION: 

The news release issued by our office mistakenly identified the barn as the old round barn at this location.  The fire was actually in a pole shed style building next to the round barn.  We apologize for the error.

On April 19^th, 2023, at approximately 11:15 p.m., the Stearns County Sheriff's Office Emergency Communications Center received a 911 call reporting a possible building fire at an abandoned barn in Le Sauk Township. The owners of the barn were identified as Wilfred Weyer, 79, of Sartell, and Michael Weyer, 64, of Albany. The Stearns County Sheriff's Office, Sartell Police Department, and Sartell Fire Department all responded to the scene. Upon arrival, the barn was completely engulfed in flames and had collapsed. The fire was extinguished by the fire department and the cause of the fire has yet to be determined.  This was the old round barn behind the Pinecone Road business center near Scout Drive.
