Missing Person Investigation Assist

On July 3^rd, 2022, at approximately 9 P.M., the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office was requested to assist the Northfield (MN) Police Department with a missing persons case. On July 3^rd, July 4^th and again today, the Sheriff’s Office and members of the Stearns-Benton Sheriff’s Office Dive Team assisted in the search for a missing juvenile at Mississippi River County Park located in Northeastern Stearns County regarding the Northfield Police Department case.

The Sheriff’s Office worked in conjunction with the Northfield Police Department and the Minnesota BCA. Also assisting were several area fire departments (St. Stephen FD, Sartell FD and Rice FD), and members of the volunteer NorthStar Search and Rescue team.

The Sheriff’s Office has no further information to release at this time and considers this case to be open and active. Until further notice Mississippi River County Park is closed to the public.
