Motor Vehicle Crash with Injuries
Two-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon in Lake Henry Township.
On April 26, 2020 at 4:22 p.m., Stearns County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a two-vehicle crash with injuries at the intersection of County Road 19 and County Road 129 in Lake Henry Township. This intersection is approximately two miles west of Lake Henry.
Richard Lecher, 68, of St. Martin, was driving his 2004 Volvo V70 station wagon eastbound on County Road 19. Heidi Miller, 36, of Paynesville, was driving her 2015 GMC Yukon westbound on County Road 19 when Mr. Lecher attempted to make a left-hand turn onto County Road 129 causing the collision.
Both drivers sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Paynesville Ambulance transported Mr. Lecher to the Paynesville Hospital. Ms. Miller was transported to the hospital by a private party.
Both drivers were wearing their seat belts.
Alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
Paynesville Police Department and Lake Henry Fire and Rescue assisted.
