Which trail should you use?

How do you tell the difference?

Multi-Use trail

If you're walking, snowshoeing, biking, have a pet, or even skijoring, the Multi-Use Trail is for YOU! We've added orange lines at trail intersections so you can remain on the correct trail as you walk along.

Ski Trail with 2 Sets of Classic Tracks

Classic tracks are set up for skis to glide along. When people (or dogs) step on the tracks, it causes a hazard for the skier.

Please do not walk on the ski trails.

Ski Trail with 1 Set of Classic Track and a Skate Ski Deck

At Quarry Park, the outside loop has the two different styles of track on one trail. Next to the classic track is a skate ski deck. These trails are for skiers who wish to 'skate' rather than glide. Again, when people or dogs step on the tracks, it causes a hazard for the skier.

Please do not walk on the ski trails.

Lighted ski trails

Because of donations initiated by the Nordic Ski Club, Quarry Park has 4.2 miles of lit cross country ski trails. The lights are on from 4:30 - 10:00 PM during the ski season.

The multi-use trails in the parks listed above are packed for easy walking. Don't forget to check out our other parks with hiking trails. Those trails are great for snowshoeing!
