OPEN HOUSE-THIS TUESDAY (8/12/25)

Thank you for your patience and understanding with the rescheduling of the Open House & Spotlight Presentation. The safety of the learners, instructors and guest speaker were our priority when making a decision about the event as the heavy rains were pouring down on August 5.

With the desire to honor the commitment of Judy Goldman and with the focus of highlighting the fall instructors before the opening of registration, the following modifications have been made in rescheduling the event:

NEW DATE: Tuesday, August 12
NEW TIME: 2 PM
LOCATION: McGirt Auditorium (825 Crawford Rd.)
COST: Free to all
WHAT TO EXPECT: The event will open with Judy Goldman discussing her latest book, The Rest of Our Lives. The book will be available for purchase and for autographs at the conclusion of the event. Following Ms. Goldman's presentation, the instructors who are present will be introduced, and after closing remarks, you will be invited to meet them and ask any questions.

Emmett Scott Recreation Center is undergoing renovations, and therefore, the Open House will not occur with the originally planned format.

You do NOT need to RSVP for the rescheduled event, but please be sure to sign in upon your arrival.

Parking:
Available on both sides of the facility with a few spaces in the front of the auditorium on Crawford Rd. Staff, volunteers and signage will be available to guide you in the right direction.

Questions? Email Krista.Hayes@cityofrockhill.com or call 803-329-5527.

We hope to see you there!
