OWLS Club Meeting

OWLS Club meetings will take place at Manchester Meadows (337 E. Mt. Gallant Road) at 1 PM on the first Thursday of each month.

City Offices Closed

Tuesday, July 4, 2023

City of Rock Hill offices will be closed Tuesday, July 4 in observance of Independence Day. We return to normal business hours on Wednesday, July 5.


*Program Change Alert*

The following weekly programs have been moved from Boyd Hill Recreation Center to Northside Recreation Center due to summer camp activity in the centers. Programs will return to regular schedule the week of August 7.

  • Dominoes – Mondays 1:30 PM – 4 PM
  • Table Tennis – Mondays 9 AM – 11 AM, Wednesday 9 AM – 11 AM
  • Cornhole – Tuesdays 10 AM – 11 AM
  • Line Dance – Thursdays 2 PM – 3:30 PM

Lunch and Learn - History of Camp Canaan

Wednesday, July 12 at Noon

Northside Recreation Center
Camp Canaan has become the most highly valued recreational and retreat camp in this region, providing a Christ-centered experience for youth campers as well as churches, businesses and others seeking to grow in life and faith. Join Matt Harper (Executive Director) and Gary Williams as they discuss not only the history of the camp but also the island as a whole.

Senior Explorers

Summer fun isn’t just for kids!  Explore the outdoors, nature, and history at three different City of Rock Hill parks.  You’ll learn about the animals, big and small, that call our parks home and about the river that shaped our history.

Programs are 45 minutes to an hour in length. Please bring water and sun protection (hat, sunscreen, etc) and wear comfortable clothes and shoes that can get a little messy. Each program requires some walking. For more information about each program, contact Jon Shea at 803-325-2634

Cost: $5 per program

July 13, 9 AM - Water Quality Critters
River Park - 1782 Quality Cir.
The critters in a creek can tell you a lot about the quality of water in that creek.  Join us at River Park to learn about aquatic ecosystems and macroinvertebrates.  We will identify the critters living in the creek and learn what they have to say about water quality.

  • The program is 45 minutes to an hour in length.
  • We will be outdoors for 45-60 minutes. The program requires some walking. Please bring water and sun protection.
  • Wear comfortable clothes and comfortable shoes that can get a little messy.
