OWLS Club meetings will take place at Manchester Meadows (337 E. Mt. Gallant Road) at 1 PM on the first Thursday of each month.

The film is centered around a stubborn and hotheaded minor league basketball coach who is sentenced to community service and forced to coach a Special Olympics team. The cast ls led by award winning actor Woody Harrelson and includes several actors with intellectual disabilities.  Champions

**New Classes Alert

  • Bodies in Motion: Senior Fitness Class - Mondays; 5:45 PM - 6:30 PM - Northside Center
    Join instructor Jocelyn Leaf for a great new fitness class for people ages 40 years old and up. For more information, call 980-939-6254. Cost: $5 per class
  • "Bessie the Cow" Abstract Painting - Monday, April 17; 2 PM - 3:30 PM - Fewell Park Center
    Try an abstract style of painting "Bessie the Cow" using bright colored acrylics and pen on canvas.  Cost: $15.
  • Gourd Bird House - Monday, April 24; 2 PM - 3:30 PM - Fewell Park Center
    Create a beautiful bird house by painting a gourd with acrylic paints. Follow instructions for painting or create your own design. House will be ready to use for your small, feathered friends. Cost: $18.
  • Pottery Vases - Monday, May 1 & 8; 2 PM - 3:30 PM - Fewell Park Center
    As part of a two-week class, we will hand build and paint pottery vases for small plants or cut flowers. At the end of the second week, Whitney Shea, local plant expert, will share plant ideas to go in the vases. Cost: $15.

Picasso Landscapes at the Museum

Friday, April 28, 9 AM - Noon
Cost: $24
Join us on a day trip to the North Carolina Mint Museum. We will be exploring the Picasso Landscapes Exhibits. Transportation will be provided. Picasso Landscapes
