Alcohol Ink Tiles

We will make several different tiles using techniques unique to art with alcohol ink. The tiles can be used as trivets or small works of art. Following the class, the tiles can be sealed with epoxy to preserve them for many years. Register Online

Palmetto Tree Watercolor Painting

We'll review the basics of watercolor painting and create a painting of a palmetto tree at sunset. This class is ideal for beginners or those who just like to paint. Supplies and frame will be provided. Register Online

Special Olympics Spring Games
Cherry Park
Area 11 Special Olympics will be hosting the annual Spring Games at Cherry Park on May 13. They are looking for volunteers to assist over 500 athletes as they compete.
Volunteers will meet at Winthrop Coliseum between 8:30 AM - 9 AM and will be shuttled to Cherry Park where they will check in and receive assignments. After the Games, volunteers are welcome to free lunch before being shuttled to their cars.

South Carolina Association of Area Agencies on Aging has distributed a needs assessment for 2022 to determine where the need is in the senior community. This will help the state create and fund programs that seniors have a need for.
