Waves are anywhere and everywhere – from sound waves, to ocean waves, to light waves...and the one thing that they have in common is that once they arrive, their impact shakes their surroundings… and everything around them is no longer the same.
This year we want to celebrate the movers and shakers, those who won’t stand still and who create real change in their communities. Let’s make waves with them...and make our lowcountry, and our world, a better place.
TEDxHiltonHead is organized by volunteers from the local community, all sharing the same goal of sparking conversation, connection and community.

Lean Ensemble Presents "Cry It Out" by Molly Smith Metzler
Cooped up on maternity leave and starved for conversation, corporate lawyer Jessie strikes up a fast friendship with community-college dropout Lina. They don’t have much in common, but marooned at home with infants, they build a sleep-deprived bond. When a nearby stay-at-home dad, Mitchell, offers to join them, it complicates the neighborly camaraderie. A candid comedy that takes an honest look at the absurdities of being home with a baby & the dilemma of returning to work.
