Concours d'Elegance This Weekend

Over 200 cars and motorcycles will enter the 1st and 18th fairways of Port Royal Golf Club's Planter's Row Golf Course on Sunday, November 3, the final day of the 2019 Hilton Head Island Concours d'Elegance & Motoring Festival.  But only one will leave with the title of Best of Show. 

Nearly 75 judges from across North America will whittle down the field to one winner from each class of which the 2019 Best of Show will be selected.

Our Community in Volumes of Light

On November 9th we will all come together for Hilton Head Island's largest temporary public art installation. 

Come down to South Forest Beach to represent the community in volumes of light. Our people, places, ecology and history will all have a place in the parade. What you make is up to you!

Lantern making workshops will be taking place all next week. Register below!

Join us on Wednesday from 4-6 or Thursday from 5-7 to work with lead artist Chantelle Rytter. We want all of our turtles to parade with our Mama Loggerhead signature lantern!

"Setting Sun" Moves to Its Permanent Home

The Town's sculpture, "Setting Sun" by Tom Holmes, was carefully disassembled and cleaned at Honey Horn on Monday to be moved to its permanent location at the new Lowcountry Celebration Park. The sculpture will be reassembled at its new home later this week.

Two of the greatest resources that our community has is its people and their creativity. The Office of Cultural Affairs is seeking ideas from our community visual artists, performing artists, musicians, lecturers, and art professionals at every stage of their careers to submit proposals for our Community Creates Initiatives.

Full guidelines and criteria can be found online. Applications can be submitted year round and projects will be selected as time and budget allows.
