Environmental Education Field Trips & Birthday Parties!
Looking for a fun, hands on and educational experience for students in one of our county parks! We offer Environmental Education program field trips, as well as programs for birthday parties! Topics include plants, reptiles and amphibians, skull identification, ecosystems, scavenger hunts, birding and can be customized for your group, grades and ages. Family Game Night at the "Play"villion

Fridays, August 22nd - October 10th
A well-rounded outdoor educational experience that facilitates interest based learning through outdoor exploration, STEM activities, crafts, story times, and imaginative play. Program will encourage teamwork and group activities, critical thinking skills, foster a love for STEM subjects, provide an opportunity for artistic expression through crafts and activities and encourage imaginative play and self expression. Program runs for 8 weeks but you may sign up for individual weeks.

Our annual Park pass is a great deal and allows 9 passengers entrance into the park as opposed to paying $2 a person each visit. Buy your pass online or come by the Ashley River Park office.

Grandparents Day Nature Walk

Celebrate Grandparents Day with a nature walk through Ashley River Park. We will talk about all the wildlife, birds and flora and fauna that can be seen on a typical visit to the park. Birds of Prey

Center for Birds of Prey will be out at Ashley River Park to talk about birds we may see or hear in our area, as well as have some feathered friends with them and may even offer a flight demonstration. Program is free with gate admission or annual park pass.
Family Flicks in the Park featuring The Wild Robot
Saturday, September 13th, 7:00 - 9:00pm

We are partnering with our friends from the Ashley River Library to offer a family friendly movie, The Wild Robot, in the park. Join us at 7:00 for a craft and activity under the pavilion and movie at dusk. Bring a chair or blanket. Concessions will be sold. Admission is $2 per person or free with annual park pass.
Dorchester County Rosebrock Park and Davis-Bailey Park Open TRACK Trails for Kids and Families
Visit our Kids in Parks TRACK Trails kiosks at Rosebrock and Davis-Bailey Parks!
TRACK Trail offers visitors a series of self-guided activity brochures that turn an ordinary hike into a fun-filled, discover-packed adventure. The trail’s Types of Trees activity helps children learn about the different varieties of oak, maple, and pine trees found along the trail. The Birds of the Woods and Wetlands activity provides participants with identification information for some of the park’s popular bird species.
Kids who participate in the program can register their TRACK Trail adventures at KidsinParks.com to earn a series of prizes designed to make their next outdoor adventure even more fun and meaningful. Since the program’s inception, more than a million TRACK Trail adventures have been completed by kids.

Puzzle Palooza

Get your team (2-4 people) to compete in DCPR's PuzzlePalooza program! Teams will race to complete a 500 piece jigsaw puzzle the fastest. There will be a 2 hour time limit. If the time expires before a team completes the puzzle, loose pieces will be counted to determine the winners. Pre register here. Programs
