Community Cat Clinics
Dorchester Paws is dedicated to eliminating unnecessary euthanasia among healthy community cats by hosting Community Cat Clinics. These clinics offer services such as spaying/neutering, rabies and FVRCP vaccinations, microchipping, and ear tipping. Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) is recognized as the most effective and humane method to manage community cat populations. It also reduces the behaviors associated with mating and pregnancy, such as yowling and fighting.
The clinics operate on a first-come, first-served basis, starting check-in at 8AM. Attendees should not block the gate entrance and must stay in their vehicles. Each car can bring up to two cats, with a total clinic capacity of 30 cats. Cats must arrive in traps to be accepted and must be from Dorchester County. The fee is $25 per cat, covering all services.
