Update: Beaufort County Cancels All September 10 Council Meetings

In light of the uncertain path of Hurricane Florence and pending a decision from the Governor’s Office on the evacuation of coastal counties, Beaufort County Council has canceled all of its scheduled meetings for tomorrow, Monday, September 10. A decision regarding meetings scheduled to occur later in the week is pending weather conditions.

As of right now, County offices are scheduled to open tomorrow according to their normal operating schedules.

Although the current track shows the storm making landfall in North Carolina, Beaufort County remains in the cone of uncertainty. Residents and guests should continue to plan for impacts associated with the storm as it moves closer. The National Hurricane Center releases new tropical cyclone advisories at 5:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 5:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. each day at www.nhc.noaa.gov.
