County Offices Closed October 5-9, 2016

Due to the inclement weather associated with Hurricane Matthew, Beaufort County Administrator Gary Kubic has announced that all County government offices will be closed Wednesday, October 5, 2016 through Sunday, October 9, 2016. The County anticipates offices will return to normal operating hours on Monday, October 10, 2016, subject to a review of environmental conditions. Emergency services and law enforcement will remain available.

Further, Governor Nikki Haley has ordered a mandatory evacuation for all coastal communities in South Carolina, including Beaufort and Jasper counties, beginning at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, October 5, 2016. All residents should evacuate to a location beyond 100 miles from the coast.

The National Weather Service models predict the storm could move along the South Carolina coast between Friday night and Saturday morning.
