 Upper Dublin Township yard waste collections begin on Tuesday, March 5, 2024
Yard waste, brush and small tree branches will be collected curbside once a week during the Yard Waste Program. Click here to view the yard waste collection area map.
- Yard waste material must not protrude from the top of the green yard waste cart.
- Grass clippings and leaves must be placed in carts, containers or biodegradable paper bags.
- Please do not use the brown trash cart for yard waste.
- Please do not use plastic bags.
- All yard waste is composted into a high-grade mulch product.
- Yard waste must be placed at the curb the night before your scheduled collection day.
- Any materials "tagged' by Public Works personnel as unacceptable or exceeding item/weight limit must be removed from the curbside and disposed of properly.
- For the disposal of dirt, sod, rocks, tree stumps, logs, root balls, wood chips, or branches exceeding 6" (six inches) in diameter, please contact a private contractor as the Public Works Department cannot accept these items.
Areas A & D Yard Waste Information:
- Yard waste must be placed at the curb the night before the scheduled collection day.
- A maximum of nine (9) containers, paper bags and/or bundles total may be placed curbside.
- Brush and/or tree limbs must be placed in biodegradable paper bags or tied into bundles (with twine) not exceeding 4' in length and 50 pounds.
- Please make every effort to contain yard waste in wheeled containers or liftable bags/bundles to help Public Works Crews load more efficiently.
- The following will not be taken: Dirt, sod, rocks, tree stumps, logs, root balls, wood chips, or branches exceeding 6" in diameter. Please hire a private contractor for these materials.

Please do not:
- Use the brown refuse cart for yard waste.
- Use compostable bags or any plastic bags for any material or food scraps (these bags do not breakdown fast enough for our program).
Areas B & C Yard Waste Information:
- Place yard waste into the township-provided green yard waste carts.
- Material outside of the carts is not accepted.
- Yard waste material must not protrude from the top of the cart.
- Place the green yard waste cart curbside (same side as trash & recycling) the night before the scheduled collection day.

FREE extra yard waste collections (for automated areas B & C only)
- This free service must be scheduled by calling the reception desk at (215) 643-1600 ext. 0 by noon on the Friday before a Monday collection.
- If there is no answer, please leave us a message that includes your last name, address, and phone number to be added to the list with no need for a follow-up call.
- Extra Yard Waste Collection Procedures:
- Place containers on your home's side of the street (regardless of which side of the street your trash & recycling carts are placed).
- A maximum of nine (9) containers, cans, or paper bags total may be placed curbside.
- Bundled branches will no longer be collected, but may be dropped off at the Compost Site Facility.
Compost Facility:
The Compost Facility (1128 Camphill Road) is available for residents to drop off yard waste or to pick up mulch. It is typically open Monday-Friday from 7:00am-2:00pm, but please call the Township Receptionist before visiting the site to verify that it is open (215-643-1600 ext. 0).
On several Saturdays throughout the yard waste program. the Compost Facility will be open from 8:00am-12:00pm. Please visit the Township's website calendar for a list of these dates.
Additional Yard Waste Carts are available for purchase at $65 each. Please call the Township Receptionist during normal business hours to place an order. The Township will deliver the cart to your property upon receipt of payment.
