City of Pittsburgh Opens Vendor Enrollment to "City Cuts" to Support Vulnerable Neighbors and Beautify Communities

City Cuts is designed to help create safer, more welcoming, and thriving communities by offering professional lawn care to residents who may otherwise struggle with maintaining their properties. It ensures that elderly, veteran, and disabled residents can continue to enjoy well-kept homes while also meeting city property standards—enhancing both their dignity and their environment. 

Key Program Dates: 

• Vendor Recruitment & Orientation: Now through Mid-April 

• Lawn Care Services Begin: May 15, 2025 

• Lawn Care Services End: October 15, 2025 

The City of Pittsburgh is inviting local lawn care vendors to participate in this impactful program, which not only supports our most vulnerable neighbors but also contributes to the beautification of Pittsburgh as a whole. Vendors will be required to attend one of two pre-application meetings on March 7th or March 21st as well as an orientation session in mid-April to be eligible for the program. Lawn care services will begin on May 15th and run through October 15th.

"By providing free lawn care to those who need it most, we’re making Pittsburgh a more beautiful, vibrant place while improving the lives of our seniors, veterans, and disabled residents. This program is a critical part of our commitment to fostering a city where everyone has the opportunity to thrive." 

Interested vendors are encouraged to apply and attend one of the orientation sessions in April. The City is eager to partner with local businesses to provide this valuable service to our community's most vulnerable members.
