Negley Avenue Temporary Sidewalk Closure
Pedestrian Pathway Update
Pittsburgh, PA – Starting today, City of Pittsburgh residents can expect a closure to the western sidewalk on the South Negley Avenue Bridge.
The sidewalk along the eastern half of the bridge spanning the busway has been closed since June 6th. A protected pedestrian pathway has been established to ensure that pedestrians can still traverse the bridge. At this time, the western portion of the sidewalk will also close. Pedestrians are directed to cross South Negley Avenue at Ellsworth Avenue to the south or the Giant Eagle driveway to the north.
Two-way vehicular traffic will be maintained throughout the duration of the sidewalk closure.
