CITIPARKS TO OPEN 6 COOLING CENTERS
MONDAY, JUNE 17 through FRIDAY, JUNE 21, 2024
Pittsburgh, PA – As forecasted temperatures are predicted to reach 90+ degrees all week. CitiParks will activate 6 Healthy Active Living Centers as Cooling Centers Monday, June 17 through Friday, June 21, 2024. Hours of Operation will be: Monday, June 17th, Tuesday, June 18th, Thursday, June 20th & Friday, June 21st: 8 AM to 7 PM and Juneteenth Holiday, Wednesday, June 19th from Noon to 7 PM.

Beechview Healthy Active Living Community Center
Brighton Heights Healthy Active Living Community Center
Greenfield Healthy Active Living Community Center
Homewood Healthy Active Living Community Center
Sheraden Healthy Active Living Community Center
South Side Healthy Active Living Community Center
All other HAL Senior Centers will be open as regularly scheduled: 8 AM to 4 PM with the exception of Wednesday 6/19, which is the Juneteenth Holiday. Additionally, CitiParks Recreation Centers with air conditioning are open with the following hours (Rec Centers are CLOSED Wednesday, June 19, 2024 for the Juneteenth Holiday):
AMMON (2217 Bedford Avenue, 15219) Monday-Friday: 9 AM to 9 PM
BROOKLINE (1400 Oakridge Street, 15226) Monday-Friday: 9 AM to 6 PM
JEFFERSON (605 Redknap Street, 15212) Monday-Friday: 9 AM to 5 PM
MAGEE (745 Greenfield Avenue, 15217) Monday-Friday: 9 AM to 6 PM
PAULSON (1201 Paulson Avenue, 15206 Monday-Friday: 9 PM to 6 PM
PHILLIPS (201 Parkfield Street, 15210) Monday-Friday: 9 AM to 9 PM
Note: CitiParks and the City of Pittsburgh will typically activate cooling centers when the forecasted highs are predicted to be above 90 degrees.
