Parking Restrictions at Fairmount Water Works Due to FIFA Fan Festival
To our valued visitors, friends and family,
We want to give you a heads-up about parking in our area this summer.
From June 11 through July 19, the FIFA Fan Festival at Lemon Hill is expected to bring significant traffic, road closures, and parking restrictions to our neighborhood. During this time, parking in the surrounding area will be permit-only, including the 2-hour Fairmount Water Works parking lot.
To help ensure a smooth visit to the Fairmount Water Works Interpretive Center, we recommend:
- Allowing extra travel time for your visit
- Using rideshare, public transportation or biking when possible (there is an Indego station at the corner of Kelley Drive and Sedgley)
- 3-hour parking spots along Kelly Drive in front of Boat House Row
- 4-hour metered parking along Pennsylvania Ave
- Carpooling and splitting the cost of parking in the Art Museum parking garage ($9/hour)
High-traffic dates are expected throughout the tournament, particularly on match days and during the final rounds in July.
We have many wonderful tours and events planned this summer, and we don't want you to miss out - make sure to check out our Events Calendar!
Thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to seeing you soon!
Sincerely, Fairmount Water Works Interpretive Center staff
