What types of infrastructure does PWD work on?
Water Mains
We actively replace water mains that deliver safe drinking water throughout our system. Reliable mains mean fewer main breaks that damage our roads.
Sewers
Sewers are often replaced alongside water mains to reduce disturbance in neighborhoods. Collecting and treating wastewater is part of how we protect our waterways.
Green Stormwater Infrastructure (GSI)
GSI is installed to help manage stormwater and follow laws for reducing pollution. Inlets and basins are added underground to soak up water runoff. Green features provide benefits for our environment, communities, and economy.
