Our records show that you may be at risk for a water shutoff. Water shutoffs are expensive and disruptive. Households with more than $1,000 in unpaid water bills will receive only one mailed notice before enforcement. The best way to avoid this disruption is to pay your bill if you can.
Our partners can help you avoid a shutoff
If you are unable to pay your bill, our partners at the Office of Community Empowerment and Opportunity (CEO) are conducting community outreach to help Philadelphia residents avoid water shutoffs.
Once you complete the water assistance intake form, CEO will follow up via phone call or text to:
- Delay or prevent water shutoff due to medical need or because minors or seniors reside in the home
- Arrange restoration of water service, if necessary
- Help you complete an assistance program application to become eligible for a fixed monthly bill, debt forgiveness, and other benefits
- Connect you with other city resources
