Hidden Defects

Sometimes small problems in your sewer system are hidden from view. If a crack develops in your sewer pipe, it can create an underground void that gets larger over time. If you notice something off with your plumbing, there may be a much larger issue occurring that you cannot see. Make sure to take care of any smaller issues before they get bigger. If there’s an issue, you may receive a Notice of Defect (NOD) from the city. If you receive a NOD, call a plumber immediately to repair the defects. Use our database to find a licensed plumber. 

Do you know about the Homeowner's Emergency Loan Program (HELP)?

You can use HELP loans after you receive a NOD or to fix problems with water service lines or sewer lines that connect your home to City pipes. You can also use this loan to replace water service lines that are made of lead, which may pose a health risk.
