Intern Opening: Landscape Design Team
The Philadelphia Water Department is recruiting Green Stormwater Infrastructure Design interns
Our Landscape Design team is looking for assistance with inspection and identification of stormwater vegetation in various green stormwater infrastructure (GSI) systems located throughout Philadelphia.

The position is for a full- or part-time intern with a background in landscape architecture, horticulture, ecology, environmental sciences, or related fields.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Self-directed and able to work without supervision
- Coursework or equivalent experience in plant identification (emphasis on trees) and horticulture
- Basic comprehension in Microsoft Excel and GIS (Geographic Information System)
- Valid driver’s license
While resources and field manuals will be provided, skills in tree identification and familiarity with regional plant species is necessary. Most of the internship tasks will be outdoors in the field.
