Leaf/Yard Waste Curbside Pickup 4/13
TOMORROW is the Spring Leaf & Yard Waste Curbside Pickup: Saturday, April 13th, 2024!
- Please place all materials in biodegradable paper bags and set them out on your curb on the evening of Friday, April 12th.
- This collection program is exclusively for residential properties in Montgomery Township.
- If your house is missed on the route, please call us at 215-393-6900 the following day so we can notify the company handling our Leaf and Yard Waste Collection.
- This is the only curbside pickup scheduled for Spring 2024. The Fall curbside pickup is scheduled for Saturday, November 30, 2024.
- Residents can also drop off their leaf and yard waste in biodegradable paper bags on April 20th at William F. Maule Park at Windlestrae from 8 a.m. to Noon.
- Lastly, a friendly reminder to refrain from blowing your leaves into the streets. This causes unsafe conditions for motorists, and the street sweepers are not able to handle the volume of leaves that pile into the streets.
Please call 215-393-6900 with any questions.
Presenting the New Montgomery Township Seal!
Presenting the new Montgomery Township seal! It will be used on official documents, letterheads, flags, and awards.
The design is by resident Isabel Dreher, who also designed our current Autumn Festival logo. It shows the Knapp Farm House and the Champion Legacy Tree that is located on Knapp Road. The seal shows an appreciation for Montgomery Township’s history and serves as an important reminder that the progress we see today is rooted in the past.
The seal complements our familiar “MT” logo, which you will continue seeing at events, on social media posts, and on promotional items.
Introducing the "We Are Montgomery Township" Podcast
In honor of Local Government Week, we present our first-ever episode of the "We Are Montgomery Township" Podcast! The podcast will explore a wide range of topics relating to Montgomery Township, our operations, and the people who come together to make it an exceptional place to live, work, and visit.
In the debut episode of "We Are Montgomery Township," we kick off Local Government Week with a deep dive into the inner workings of Montgomery Township. Township Manager Carolyn McCreary, and Derek Muller, Public Information Coordinator, explore Carolyn’s journey to her role and the day-to-day challenges and achievements of managing Township operations.
Celebrating Local Government Week with Montgomery Elementary
On Thursday, approximately 100 second-grade students from Montgomery Elementary visited the Montgomery Township Administration Building for educational and interactive activities celebrating Local Government Week. They played The Price Is Right with our Finance Department, answered trivia with Administration, learned about Planning and Zoning as they participated in a word search, mapped their school with our GIS Analyst, designed playgrounds with our Recreation Department, and learned about our emergency operations and infrastructure with Public Works, the Montgomery Township Police Department, Fire Department of Montgomery Township, and VMSC Emergency Services.
We had so much fun engaging with the students and teaching them about the role of local government!

You may notice discolored water when flushing is in your area…this is expected and is not harmful. Simply let the cold water run from your taps until it becomes clear. If possible, run water from a bathtub or other fixture without an aerator.
Should problems persist, please call NWWA’s Customer Service department at 215-699-4836 between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday – Thursday and 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
Please refer to the interactive map on the NWWA website to monitor the progress of the hydrant flushing. As each hydrant is serviced, its indicator will change from red to green, allowing you to easily track completions.
