A refuse and recycling holiday collection schedule will be in effect for May 26th-30th, due to the Memorial Day holiday.
There will be no refuse or recycling collection on Monday, May 26th.
 It's time to make your voice heard in this year's PA Primary Election! Mail-in ballots are on their way to those who requested them and so there's a chance you may have already cast your vote. If you haven't yet, here are a few dates to keep in mind:
- The last day to register to vote - or to update your registration - is May 5
- The deadline to apply to vote by mail is May 13
- If you prefer to vote in person, polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on May 20 - The County must receive mail-in ballots by 8 p.m. on May 20

Congratulations to this year’s Go for the Green Award winners!
The Go for the Green Awards recognize local community members for outstanding environmental contributions. Winners will be recognized at an awards ceremony on Monday, May 12th at Appleford Estate.

 The Townships of Lower Merion, Haverford, Springfield and Narberth Borough are cohosting a half-day workshop and equipment demonstration event on commercial landscaping with electric equipment. Landscaping professionals in the area are welcome to attend the event on June 17 at Ludington Library.
Residents who refer their landscapers to the event will be entered to win a raffle prize! Residents may also submit landscaping company info at https://www.lowermerion.org/elawns
 Applications are now open for all K-12 students in Montco for the fourth annual Art and Poetry Freedom Contest!
The theme for this year’s contest is "Hope in Action." All students in Montgomery County public, private, parochial, or home schools are invited to submit their own unique works of art and poetry speaking to that theme.
Submissions Due: Friday, May 16 at 11:59 p.m.
Food Insecurity and Hunger in Lower Merion Township
Many Lower Merion Township residents are surprised to learn that some residents of Lower Merion Township do not have enough food for themselves or their family and many frequent our six active food pantries. In fact, pantry visits are way up and the need for food in Lower Merion and elsewhere is growing. Some of our pantries even deliver to those who cannot visit in person. - Lower Merion’s sewer rate of $4.51 per 1,000 gallons of water consumption has not been increased since 2012
- The sewer rate is the lowest among area municipalities that bill sewer based on water consumption
- The sewer bill is a utility and is NOT paid by your mortgage company
- Pay within the first 60 days to receive a 2% discount
