Montco 2050 Open House
You are cordially invited to an Open House at the Township Building, 2nd Fl Boardroom, on December 2nd from 6-7 pm to review Montgomery County’s new comprehensive plan, Montco 2050.
The Montgomery County Planning Commission (MCPC) is encouraging the public to participate in the development of Montgomery County’s new comprehensive plan, Montco 2050: A Comprehensive Plan for a Changing World. The plan will guide overall growth and future development and will help the county in making planning decisions with an outlook to the year 2050.
Public opinion is an important element of this planning process, as the plan will ultimately reflect the needs of our residents. We are looking to reach as many people as possible for feedback on a variety of issues that affect everyone’s quality of life in the county, such as traffic and transit, parks and trails, housing, and economic growth.

The 2024-2025 LIHEAP season is now open.
The Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) helps families living on low incomes pay their heating bills in the form of a cash grant. Households in immediate danger of being without heat can also qualify for crisis grants. The cash grant is a one-time payment sent directly to the utility company/fuel provider to be credited on your bill. These grants range from $200 to $1,000 based on household size, income, and fuel type. Remember: This is a grant and does not have to be repaid.

PALM Temporary Relocation and Renovation
After years of planning and anticipation, the center for Positive Aging in Lower Merion (PALM) will temporarily close for major renovations from Monday, December 2, 2024, through the end of January 2026.
During this period, and in partnership with Lower Merion Township, and the Ardmore Avenue Community Center (AACC), PALM will relocate onsite activities to AACC on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. On Tuesdays, all programs will be virtual, including The Caring Center's We Care Program which will meet from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
To continue meeting the nutritional needs of our older adult community, we will provide boxed lunches on the days we are onsite at AACC. We appreciate your patience and flexibility as we navigate this exciting transition.
Trips and other scheduled events will continue as planned, so stay tuned for updates.
