The Township Administration Building, Township Treasurer's Office and all Township Libraries will be closed for business in observance of Good Friday.
Refuse & Recycling Collection will be on a regular collection schedule with collection Monday through Friday.

Go for the Green Awards

The Lower Merion Township Environmental Advisory Council and Shade Tree Commission and the Narberth Borough Environmental Advisory Council and Shade Tree Commission jointly sponsor the annual “Go for the Green” Awards to recognize its residents, businesses, organizations and schools, for significant contributions to enhance or protect the environment and natural resources, by raising awareness or addressing important environmental issues.
Nominations are invited from now until April 1, 2024.
Winners will be recognized at an awards ceremony to be held on May 21, 2024.
Household Hazardous Waste Collection Events
Each location is open to Montgomery, Bucks, Chester, Delaware and Philadelphia County residents. Lower Merion Township will host a collection event on October 13, 2024. Registration is required for all collection events.
 Become a Sustainability Ambassador!
Sustainability Ambassadors:
- Help amplify Township sustainability messaging by sharing it with their communities and/or organizations.
- Help the Township make connections and build relationships within the community.
- Participate in surveys and discussions where the Township is seeking community input.
- Attend or volunteer at events that are organized by the Sustainability Manager and/or working groups
- Participate in citizen science projects
- Help with research, data management or data collection
Sustainability Ambassadors will receive emails about sustainability-related learning opportunities, community events, volunteer opportunities, and other low commitment calls to action. Meetings will be held about once a quarter to keep Sustainability Ambassadors up to date on Township sustainability efforts. There is no commitment to signing up.
