Have you been thinking about going electric? State and Federal tax incentives are making it more affordable than ever. And that’s not the only way your new wheels can affect your wallet: you could save $800-$1000 annually on fuel costs by charging with electricity at home compared with gasoline at the gas station.
When it comes to going clean and helping the planet, you’re in the driver’s seat. Watch the video below to learn more.
Instant Tax Credits for Electric Cars
People shopping for electric cars starting next year will be able to get a federal tax credit off the sticker price while at the dealership, rather than having to wait to receive their tax returns.
Under the new guidance, those purchasing a new electric vehicle or plug-in hybrid electric vehicle that qualifies under the Treasury Department’s guidelines can either take $7,500 off the sticker price of a new EV or $4,000 off the cost of a used EV.
