Keep Kids Safe!
The Lower Merion School District and Lower Merion Township are partnering in a community-wide effort to support the physical and mental health and safety of young people. This initiative was kicked off with a Family Information Night in June 2023, where information was shared on topics such as internet and social media safety and monitoring; mental health crisis support; healthy activities at local libraries and parks; and when and how law enforcement should be called with concerns. This event was followed by the implementation of LMSD’s “Off and Away” program in September 2023. And, in the coming months, this page will feature additional pertinent videos and resources to help our community support children and youth.
Businesses can help support Literacy and Learning through the Pennsylvania Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program (EITC)
Pennsylvania’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program (EITC) gives business owners the opportunity to help children and support learning programs through Lower Merion’s public libraries while also reducing their state tax burden. The Lower Merion Library Foundation, an approved Educational Improvement Organization, is eligible to receive EITC donations. If you currently participate in this tax credit program or are interested learning more about how EITC grants support learning programs for the many children who use our libraries, please visit the LMLS website or contact the LMLS office at 610-645-6110. For details on applying for or using Educational Improvement Tax Credits visit: Pennsylvania Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program.
