Welcomes New Director
Welcome to Lynn Williamson, as the new Director of the Lower Merion Library System. Ms. Williamson brings 26 years of library experience with the Free Library of Philadelphia, where she was most recently Chief of Neighborhood Libraries. We are looking forward to and are excited to learn of the ideas Ms. Williamson has for the future of our libraries.

Fire Prevention Week
October 9th thru 15th
Join the Lower Merion Fire Department in celebrating the 100th Anniversary of Fire Prevention Week, from October 9th – 15th.
This year’s theme is “Fire won’t wait. Plan your escape”, focusing on the importance of having a well-practiced escape plan and establishing a meeting site outside for family, neighbors, and/ or guests. .

Ardmore Rotary Annual Pancake Breakfast, Sunday, October 2nd 7am-Noon.
Come eat some yummy pancakes and support your local fire company during this yearly fundraiser.

One Book One Lower Merion
The Lower Merion Library System, in conjunction with the One Book, One Lower Merion Committee will host Kareem Rosser, author of Crossing the Line: A Fearless Team of Brothers and the Sport That Changed Their Lives Forever to discuss his book and how the sport of polo influenced his life. The event will be conducted in a hybrid format, on Sunday October 23, 2022 beginning at 2pm. A book discussion facilitated by Bev Rosen will be offered in advance of the author event on Sunday October 16 at 2pm.

Drug Take Back Day October 29, 2022
Collection times will be from 10:00AM to 2:00PM

inhalers, creams, ointments, nasal sprays, pet medicines and vaping products
Not accepted:
Protect your family and the environment
by removing unwanted or expired medicines
and medical supplies from the home in order to be safely disposed.

The 2022 Ardmore Toyota Raffle Winner
The 2022 Ardmore Toyota Raffle raised just over $21,000 to help support programs and collections. The fundraiser was generously sponsored and supported by Ardmore Toyota. Proceeds from ticket sales directly support the annual budgets of the libraries selling tickets.

Pennsylvania’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program
Pennsylvania’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program (EITC) gives business owners the opportunity to help public libraries in Lower Merion while reducing their state tax burden.
As an approved Educational Improvement Organization, the Lower Merion Library Foundation is eligible to receive EITC donations. If you currently participate in this program or are interested learning more about how EITC grants support learning programs for the many children and teens who use our libraries, please visit the LMLS Website by clicking the blue button below.

The Lower Merion Police Department will be accepting applications for the position of Probationary Police Officer beginning Thursday, September 15, 2022 at 8:00 a.m. There is a $30.00 fee per application. The deadline for applications is Friday, November 4, 2022 at 4:00 p.m.
