Hunting licenses for 2024-25 go on sale Monday, June 24 at 8 a.m. Purchase them online at HuntFishPA or at any in-store issuing agent.
Hunters purchasing licenses online must opt in to receive a copy of the Hunting & Trapping Digest. The 2024-25 digest can be viewed, downloaded, or printed anytime here.
Postage will be $1.88 for licenses only and $4.43 for orders including the digest. After postage fees increase on July 14, costs will be $1.93 and $4.74, respectively.
Wait to purchase your general hunting license until you purchase your first round antlerless license to save time and postage costs.
Thank you for being a Pennsylvania hunter!
The Game Commission made changes to the 2024-25 antlerless license sales schedule to reduce wait times and guarantee antlerless licenses for most residents in the first round:
-
Monday, June 24: Resident antlerless licenses for WMUs 1B, 2G, and 3A only go on sale on a first come, first served basis.
-
Thursday, June 27: Resident antlerless licenses for all remaining WMUs go on sale and are GUARANTEED for 11 days through July 7.
-
Monday, July 8: Unsold antlerless licenses are available to nonresidents on a first come, first served basis.
Remember to apply for an elk license when you purchase your general hunting license!
Applications for all three seasons (archery, general, and late) are available through Sunday, July 14. Drawings will be held on Saturday, July 27 at the Keystone Elk Country Alliance's Elk Expo in Benezette.
